Urban Plates in Woodland Hills has a lot going for it on paper. The interior is nicely designed and much bigger than you would expect from the outside, and the concept of fresh, wholesome plates is appealing. Unfortunately the execution left a bit to be desired on this visit. We ordered the BBQ Chicken, the Daily Special Chicken dish at $13.99, the Flank Steak at around $21, and a few sides. The BBQ Chicken was the biggest letdown, tough, chewy, and with fat left on that should have been trimmed. Not what you want from a place positioning itself around quality ingredients. The daily special chicken dish was affordable but the chicken itself was not good, lacking flavor and texture. The curry rice was overcooked and hard, which was disappointing. The steak was decent quality but needed more seasoning and flavor to really stand out at that price point. The mashed potatoes were fine, nothi

Urban Plates sounds like a great spot for a meal. The steak and potatoes were cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and well-seasoned. And my son’s pork ribs were a hit too—tender, smoky, just the right amount of sauce. Overall, a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff—it’s a place worth returning to.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such an AMAZING experience at Urban Plates! Everything was seriously delicious! 😍 I had the sea bass with broccolini and potatoes, and it was cooked perfectly. My daughter had the chimichurri steak with mac & cheese and truffle fries, and everything was SO good! Not a single disappointment on our plates. What made the experience even better was the amazing service from Daniel and Jose who provided exceptionally great customer service! Also Chef German came out to introduce himself and we made sure to tell him personally how amazing the food was because he and the kitchen absolutely deserve the recognition! 👏🏽👨‍🍳 I would’ve added a picture of our food… but unfortunately we ate it way too fast! 😂😆 That should tell you everything you need to know! Great food, great experience, and compliments to Daniel, Jose, Chef German and the entire team. We will definitely be back! ❤

I had the most incredible lunch at Urban Plates in Woodland Hills! The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, which perfectly complements the stunning dishes. I had a delightful farm-to-table experience, with flavors that were both fresh and innovative. Be sure to ask for Aaliyah, she's really helpful.

This place is great as always. I came here a few years ago and it still remained consistently good. Ordered the steak salad $19 and steak, couscous, and broccoli as 2 sides $21. I was hoping the broccoli was broccolini but it was still a great meal. Come here if you like a fast casual made from scratch healthy meals. I’ll definitely be coming back.
