First time here. Had a great Saturday lunch. FOOD: Broccoli 🥦 with Garlic - 💚 all the garlic pieces and broccoli was cooked perfectly. Soup Dumplings - two 3-pc orders (Chicken, Pork). All tasty but didn't blow us away. Hand-Made Dumplings - opted for Pork w/Shrimp pan fried. Tasty. Didn't blow us away. Seaweed & Tofu Salad - 1/2 order but definitely getting the full order next time. One of the best dishes ✅️✅️ Short Rib Dan Mein - 🧡🖤. Perfectly cooked, noodles were flavorful and texture was right on point. Definitely ✅️✅️ Pork Belly Bun - this was sooo good! Loved the preparation. Definitely one of the best ✅️✅️ Beer 🍺Sake 🍶and Boba 🧋options SERVICE: attentive nice servers

The food is beyond expectation! The soup dumplings and pork chop fried rice are my favorite. They are all authentic (well that’s a compliment!) even though they call it modern Chinese. Also we enjoyed the vibe in the restaurant. The price is fair too. We will definitely visit again.

I really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered here. The Dan noodles with short ribs were fantastic and we also enjoyed the popcorn shrimp. The stringbeans were great and I especially enjoyed our large order of cucumbers. The beef and broccoli also good and the pork and shrimp dumplings were terrific. I didn't realize they were serving alcohol and it was nice to have a beer to balance out the flavors. And its a quick walk across the street if you are seeing a movie.. The staff is friendly and it is a nice open atmosphere.

We’ve been to Dan Modern Chinese a few times now, and it’s been consistently great every single visit—which is why we keep coming back. We usually go for the Dan Mein with short rib (still a favorite!), but this was our first time doing takeout and trying the Dan Mein with shrimp—and it did not disappoint. The noodles were still perfectly cooked, the shrimp were plump and flavorful, and everything held up really well even to-go. We also ordered the Mapo Tofu with pork, which was just as good as we remembered—rich, silky, and packed with that signature spicy, numbing kick. And the spicy oxtail noodle soup was a standout again, with deep, bold flavors and incredibly tender meat. We added some steamed dumplings and xiao long bao too, and they were a great addition—fresh, delicate, and full of flavor. Even as takeout, they held up nicely and rounded out the meal perfectly.
